Decentralized Applications (or dApps) are applications that integrate with blockchain technologies.

dApps often utilize smart contracts that are hosted on public blockchains such as NEO or Ethereum.

Integrating with blockchain technologies allows for certain features that are beneficial to applications and end-users:

  • Native integration with smart contract tokens (such as NEP-5 Token Standard) and cryptocurrencies.
  • Immutable data entries.
  • Transparent back-ends by smart contracts.
  • True ownership of data for end-users.
  • Cross-integration with other decentralized applications due to all data being available on a public ledger.
